Does he honestly think he looks like General Honore? I mean, I know that most of what Mardi Gras is all about is partying and dressing up. But, dressing up as a General?
Dishonors the uniform.
Dishonors General Honore.
Will people ever learn that there are real people, real fighting men and women, that wear this uniform every day and do not see it as a “costume”. Ray Nagin may think that this is a tribute, or a compliment, or maybe even a mini-dig at how he was left “high and dry” (no pun intended) by the Federal Government, the US Military, and the President.
I think I would have picked a different outfit.

The thing that REALLY ticks me off is the ribbons. Probably irrational, but I could look the other way if it were just BDUs, beret, and even rank insignia. But the RIBBONS? He oughta be force fed each one, indivdually.

About the placement of the ribbons, LL… I think I see an AF Commendation Medal and an AF Outstanding Unit ribbon, definitely see a National Defense Service Medal, and those are “out of order.” The rest I can’t make out. So I’d say the ribbons were just thrown together haphazardly.

CAUSE YOU NEEDED ORDERS TO GET STRIPES AND RIBBONS!
If you lost your orders, or walked in without a uniform and ID, you were SCREWED! It is too hard to get ribbons and insignia … that is what REALLY boiled my onions!
And then, to top it all off (pun intended, you’ll see) the beret just knocked me over the cliff! Anyone recognize the badge? I’ll give ya a moment to assess …
I wanna know what the tshirt art says underneath? Maybe it is that slogan Rodger Hedgecock read this morning on Rush:

OK, maybe it wasn’t - doubt he’d poke fun at the Military and himself at the same time.

He’s a 4 star General now? This is thoroughly disgusting. I haven’t seen this anywhere else but here. Why not? How dare this bafoon wear the uniform for a drunken celebration?
