Dots? I Don’t See Any Dots?!
Have any of you been reading any of the recently released documents on the Foreign Military Studies Office, Joint Reserve Intelligence Center - Operation Iraqi Freedom Documents? I have been reading, well, a ton! Umm, that also is why you aren’t seeing me post as often lately. There really is a huge gold mine of information that so many have just turned a blind eye to - well, in the Drive By Media.
What I posted last is not as significant as what I found this evening. While browsing more of the FMSO files, I noticed a document by the Iraqi Intelligence Service (IIS) regarding a meeting. This was no tea and crumpets chat, this is a meeting between Osama Bin Laden, the Taliban Group, Afghanistan, and the Iraqis!
I kid you not! LOOK!

Here is the text, just so you can see the whole letter:
In the Name of God the Most Merciful the Most Compassionate
Office of the Presidency
Intelligence Service
M5/3/9/2The Honorable Mr. General Director Manager M5
Subject: Information
Our Afghani source numbered 11002 had provided us with the information on the denotation paper number -1- )
The Afghani Consul Ahmad Dahstani (the information on the denotation paper number (2)) had mentioned in front of him with the followings:
1. Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban Group in Afghanistan were in touch with the Iraqis and that group of the Talibans and Osama Bin Laden had visited Iraq.
2. The United States of America has evidence that the Iraqi government and Osama Bin Laden’s group expressed cooperation among themselves in bombing targets in American.
3. In case Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban were proven to have been involved in carrying out these terrorist operations, it could be possible that the United Stated will attack both Iraq and Afghanistan.
4. The Afghani consul heard about the connection between the Iraqis and the Osama Bin Laden group during his stay in Iran.
5. Upon what has been presented we suggest writing to the Intention Committee with the above information. Please revise…Your recommendation…With appreciation,
Director, M5/3
15/9/2001 Khalid
15/9
Immediately to be
presented to the
Intention Committee President
Did you happen to notice the date on this missive? It is SEPTEMBER 15TH, 2001 ! ! !
Folks, how many more dots do these people need? And, why is it this information isn’t out there? Am I the only person reading this stuff, and NOT in the administration?
Thanks to bRight & Early’s Open TB

I’ve been going through those documents in my spare time as well. I enjoy the photos of Saddam and Brechznev!
GOOD find, super slueth!! This is news in that when we went to war with Iraq, we didn’t necessarily establish an Osama/Iraq link. We understood that Saddam was a threat, that he refused to comply with U.N. Resolutions, was developing a WMD program and that he was brutalizing his people. If the US had not gone into Iraq, it would have been much harder to prove such a tie between the two because of these documents.
Imagine the choas in the middle east right now if Saddam were still in power. While some liberals claim the war in Iraq started the mess with Israel and Hezbollah (yeah, right), it’s certain that it would be much messier today with Saddam still in power. No doubt he’d be lobbing more missiles into Israel and we would have been sucked into some sort of war with Iraq as we were when Saddam invaded Kuwait. There is NO doubt the taking down of Saddam has added to stability, even though that seems an odd thing to say. It is even possible that Saddam and the Iranian Pres. may have joined forces for a bigger assault on Israel.
Those documents are excellent proof that Pres. Bush did the right thing. Good work!

Thanks for the kudos, Amy. Ever since these docs went up, I’ve been searching for the “nuggets” I think we need to get to press before elections come in November. The “surprise” should be, well, we were always right from the start.
Oh, and I just posted on CalCon tonight!
Laurie, thanks for linking back! You both might want to check out my latest! I think you’ll find out just how WHACKED Saddam truly was/is!!!

[…] Two months ago, almost to the day, I posted about a translation of a captured IIS document, CMPC-2003-001488, that described intelligence that the IIS garnered from one of its Afghan contacts regarding ties between Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda, and Saddam Hussein. I also noted in that post that the memo had been translated by Iraqi blogger Omar at Iraq the Model and at Pajamas Media last March. Tapscott’s Copy Desk notes that blogger Fix 4 RSO has now also discovered this memo, which appears to put lie to the notion that post-war intel failed to show any operational ties between Saddam Hussein and AQ. APOLOGIZE TO THE PRESIDENT
I think all those Democrats that denied that Iraq was an imminent threat and those that accused the President and Dick Cheney of deliberately misleading them and the American public, owe the President of the United States of America AN APOLOGY.
How …

Boy, it’d be nice if we saw all these scum finally admit that they were wrong. We’ll never see that day come, I’m afraid to admit. The one thing that Liberals and most Democrats ascribe to is the fact that they have nothing to apologize for, ever.
Hmmm … isn’t that what we just heard Kerry say, emphatically, that he has nothing to apologize for at all … ???
Yeah, Democrats, the party of integrity. Bah.
