This Seat Occupied

I’ve been posting off and on lately, as you can tell. I have been consumed by a few things - all trivial in some respects.

I have been reading a ton of the FMSO docs, as I said before. It takes time but I am truly developing an amazing picture of that which we are all fighting in the GWOT. Amazing stuff … in an awful way I can assure you.

I have also been taking time out to do some programming. I like to write code off and on. Two projects are consuming all the spare moments I can find: a small application to help engineering groups and a three column layout for this blog. If you’ve ever tried to set a three column web page that floats in the middle of the screen and collapses only after an ~800 pixel boundary has been crossed, then you can understand my pain. :) Here’s a snapshot for those of you that like this sort of thing:

It is also Summer you crazy blogosphere friends of mine! GET OUT IN THE SUN!!!

Well, and work has been very busy. Ergo, we get blog posts like this one I am typing right now.

I think I need another vacation - FROM ME! :)

And I’ve been enjoying your posts on the subject, Steve. I don’t always comment, but I always read.

As for the coding: 21st Century alchemy, as far as I’m concerned. The Black Arts, and all that. More power to you, if you can do it. I’m just glad there are things like templates that enable “the rest of us” to use the ‘net…

    :-)

    Thanks, Buck.

Yes, the Black Arts … I guess everyone has to have a vice, right? :)

I like having templates as well. This current template is the default, I just, tweaked it a bit for my own look-N-feel. But, it is bloated code with tons of funkirific calls that really don’t need to be there.

Ahh, optimization, the mother of all houses-of-pain! :)

Ooooh! you have my admiration for taking on the programing. I’m so thankful I have people in my life who can do that! Looks great!

The contents of the documents are chilling. Thanks for posting about them.

    Hey YankeeMom!

Ah yes, if help were at my fingertips, I too would be wearing someone else’s fingers to the bone! ;)

Actually, I’ve always messed around with programming and EE sorts of stuff. I built my own control board for my HO Train set using CMOS chips and relays … yes, Buck, psycho is appropriate here! ;)

I also appreciate your attention to the FMSO docs. Gotta scram and get back in the sun with my kids before summer ends! They start school in 2 days.

Ah sun… I miss the sun, never get to feel it working in this office! Definitely hope y’all do!
