Thanks for the visit, and the comment. Looking at this...Wow! I don't think I've followed the whole list out before. Nice work.

Listening to all y'alls comments brings back some memories. I was a 328X1 80-83. Worked F-4Es. (I actually remember a time when TAC decided they didn't need three shifts to keep planes in working order...I also remember a 30mm gun pod that fell in a swamp at the EOR on approach one time...) Only did one enlistment, though.

I know this is going to sound like a selfish plug--it's not meant that way. But, I created a video for Marty @ Any Soldier a while back. I've got it uploaded on my site. Yeah...it went to the Army..but it's good for all of us. check it out. Here's the address: http://wednesdaysmuse.blogspot.com/2006/10/any-soldier-video.html

I was a 322x2A, I think. It's getting to be quite awhile ago! My first assignment was Beale, but after a year or so I volunteered worldwide, which in the Recce world is the same as saying "send me to Osan." From there I extended a year to do a two-year stint at Zweibrucken. The RF-4C's weren't as interesting as the SR, but TAC made up for that by being a more dynamic work environment (e.g. it commonly offered the attraction of getting to wear chem gear for 12 hours a day)

Hey Dave!

Actually, you and I were in the same AFSC!!! I was a 328x4 from 81-87, and Beale AFB was my _LAST_ assignment.

I think you and I both have some stories between the two of us, wouldn't ya say? :)

Hey, I popped over here after seeing your blog as a referral in my hit counter.

Going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing you were an SR-71 RSO. For the first two years of my enlistment, I was an avionics tech on the CAPRE system (sorry we could never get those darn RCDs to work for you guys!) so I just thought I'd say hi!

Heh! That's right, let's keep the US Air Force Team above the cloud layer and owning the skies! It's so far a great race, and we are in second place.

And, that is in no way a comfortable second place. The US Army Team is pushing hard to stay in front of us all.

And, you all know, we are in this together. But, GO TEAM AIR FORCE!!!
