California Dreamers …
OK, so, Damsel has an armory of wonderful pics of California (not leaving ya out, Cap’n, just deferring to the Lady!). Far more than I, I am sure. But, since she mentioned California Dreamin’ on her sorta counter-pic-post, I figured I’d one-up and show a couple of Caifornia Dreamers!!!
This pic is from 2003, Northern California coast near Santa Cruz, CA. There is a Monarch Butterfly sanctuary, and this beach is attached to the sanctuary. We were in the park to see the butterflies, and then ya just can’t not see the beach, ya know?!

It’s funny, my wife and I were watching a local sports news segment, and a SF 49er interviewed just after a practice was commenting how “stove top” was just great. When the segment returned to the studio, the anchors were laughing and one says, “Eh, he’s a guy, stove top is always great.”
I had some memories come back about my, Thanksgiving, away from home in another country, far away, no phone contact, no e-mail, and all there was was “snail mail” …
I decided that this would be my short post-vacation-post.
