I upgraded to WordPress2.1 nearly two weeks ago. Things seemed to be working fine, yet I had a post from last night just, disappear … odd.
Well, I’m looking in to what happened, and posted in the help/support forum. So far, no help yet …

Good Morning, sir!
I come to your blog today via Little Ole Lady’s blog who I found from Jarhead John’s Firing Range. I like your site and your way of thinking
I have to ask — what does Fix 4 RSO mean? I can come up with several theories — fix 4 rough sea operations, fix 4 registered sex offender (the knife!), several possibilities!
I also installed WP 2.1 in Feb and I had some posts disappear, then they reappeared in 2-3 days! Did you ever find the cause on your site?

Oh, and one more thing — what’s the reference to Circle K? Around here, it’s a common gas station franchise… ?

Hey Joe!
I never found the cause for the disappearing post. Haven’t clue what happened, although I suspect user error - I’m always open to thinking it can be me.
In a previous post, I think I explained RSO (Reconnaissance Systems Officer) and how “fix 4″ is what I was doing. I was a navigation systems repair guy (328×4) in the USAF back in the 80s - The Grand Cold War! The RSO is the back seater in an SR-71, and he and my fellow Nav repair guys work very closely together. Alas, the Blackbird no longer flies, and my heart sinks low every time I think she has been decommissioned. And I can happily say I am of a select few that have had the blessing to work on the finest aircraft, in the world’s greatest Air Force, with the world’s greatest crews!
Oh, and as for the Circle K reference, I often throw in quotes from movies. The “Strange Things Afoot at the Circle-K” is from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. AND, I am familiar with Circle-K as I lived in Biloxi, Atlanta, Fayetville, and Omaha … I’ve fueled up at the Circle-K, too!!!
Take care Joe, and thanks for stopping by my blog! Little Ole Lady is great! Say “Hey!” to her for me if ya get a chance!
