Illegal Immigration Blitz is August 23rd!

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

GUEST POST FOR: CAII - Coalition Against Illegal Immigration
CROSS POSTED FROM: Uncooperative Blogger

We are planning another illegal immigration blitz on August 23rd 2006. We will again fax, email and call our elected representatives, but this time, include your state representatives and media outlets. Write letters to the editors of all your local papers. Call your TV stations and local radio stations. If you are up to it call your favorite talk radio hosts. I have included some tools to help you accomplish this at the bottom of this post.

Here is a sample letter, copy and paste it, change it or write your own.

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing because I am deeply concerned about the serious and current illegal immigration problem which is hurting American Citizens for which you have been elected to protect.

I hope you read this letter in its entirety, but I know you are very busy, so I will get to the point.

Here is my “Comprehensive” Immigration Plan:

  • Secure the border by any means necessary. This includes the Military.
  • Stiff penalties for employers, which are actually enforced.
  • No taxpayer funded programs for illegals or their families. (including school for children of illegals and non-emergency medical care for any illegal)
  • No “Anchor Babies” (no automatic citizenship for children of illegals born in the US)
  • No path to Citizenship in any name or form for those here illegally.
  • No Guest worker program until the above measures are put in place and the need can be PROVEN
  • English only education and the official language of the USA

As you must know illegally entering into the USA is a crime and according to the law, these people are subject to arrest and deportation. When they ILLEGALLY enter the USA they fully understand they are breaking USA law and the risks involved. Every person that breaks any law has some reason why they did it, but, no excuse should ever warrant a REWARD for BREAKING U.S. LAW, such as “Amnesty” or a “Path to Citizenship”.

Do not ignore your American Citizens who have voted for you in the past. We are tired of paying billions of dollars every year to support Citizens of OTHER countries here ILLEGALLY. We are tired of having Americans fall victim of crimes including, but not limited to, tax evasion, ID Theft, Murder, Robbery, and other Felonies from those in this country ILLEGALLY. We are also tired of our elected officials not securing our borders and enforcing our laws against those here ILLEGALLY. It is your Constitutional responsibility to secure our borders.

We are tired of certain Governors and their State Capitols offering “Sanctuary”, housing, monetary benefits and driver’s licenses to Citizens of other countries here ILLEGALLY. We are tired of laws made by some Governors that make it illegal for OUR AMERICAN POLICE FORCE to properly enforce laws to protect American Citizens such as, Laws that prevent police from being able to investigate persons suspected of being in America ILLEGALLY.

I would also like to see an end to the abuse of the 14th Amendment, often referred to as the “Anchor Baby” loop hole. As you know this is used by illegal immigrants to anchor themselves here to their now U.S. citizen child. This should be looked at as the fruit of the poisonous tree. They broke the law to come here so any action that stems from that is illegal, including their children.

Its time for our Elected Politicians to prove to their VOTING CITIZENS if they are for the safety and economic well being of American Citizens or if they are going to pander to citizens of OTHER countries and help those illegally in the USA to reap rewards and benefits from the American Tax Payer.

We plan to vote for politicians who take a tough stand against illegal immigration and who are against ANY reward, ANY Amnesty, ANY Citizenship for those who ILLEGALLY entered the USA.

Do what you were elected to do represent your constituents and protect the USA. Do the right thing and in turn, we will vote for you.

Here is a copy of the law for reference:

Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code:

(a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of facts
Any alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.

(b) Improper time or place; civil penalties
Any alien who is apprehended while entering (or attempting to enter) the United States at a time or place other than as designated by immigration officers shall be subject to a civil penalty of -
(1) at least $50 and not more than $250 for each such entry (or attempted entry); or
(2) twice the amount specified in paragraph (1) in the case of an alien who has been previously subject to a civil penalty under this subsection.

Civil penalties under this subsection are in addition to, and not in lieu of, any criminal or other civil penalties that may be imposed.

(c) Marriage fraud
Any individual who knowingly enters into a marriage for the purpose of evading any provision of the immigration laws shall be imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or fined not more than $250,000, or both.

(d) Immigration-related entrepreneurship fraud Any individual who knowingly establishes a commercial enterprise for the purpose of evading any provision of the immigration laws shall be imprisoned for not more than 5 years, fined in accordance with title 18, or both.

Sullying those in the White Hats

Friday, August 11th, 2006

I know that this is becoming too much of a habit, but being away from the blog recently has been family related. Our youngest went through a required surgery - not too much fun for a little one. She’s getting better, so, today there are a few moments to post some comments regarding what I’ve been reading in the news and blogosphere lately.

In GrassFire.org’s latest project, there is a petition to sign that is VERY important. The border patrol has been our last bastion against wholesale stupidity regarding our porous southern border. Two border patrol agents are being prosecuted for capturing and attempting to arrest a drug smuggler from Mexico. Um, what a minute, we let the bad guy go free and we’re gonna put the good guys in jail?! Here’s Steve Elliott’s latest e-mail comments:

“Even though I’m familiar with this story, it still makes me angry that our nation seems more concerned with illegal aliens than with their own citizens–especially men of law who are trying to protect our borders!

It is absolutely insane that we would allow an illegal drug smuggler to literally walk away from his transgressions for his testimony against these two Border Agents. And to think this same illegal alien is now in the process of suing our government for millions because he believes his civil rights were violated?

What about the rights of us citizens? What about the rights of those he was going to peddle his drugs to?”

Can’t ya hear the awe and amazement, let alone digust, in his comments? I’ve read up on this story and there are numerous articles and posts regarding this situation. No matter your proclivity, this is completely unacceptable.

Head on over to sign the petition at GrassFire.org and keep the heat on!

Another local community cracking down on Illegal Immigrants

Friday, June 30th, 2006

GUEST POST FOR: CAII - Coalition Against Illegal Immigration
CROSS POSTED FROM: Morning Coffee

From NBC6

AVON PARK, Fla. — Avon Park, a Highlands County city, is poised to crack down on undocumented immigrants.

It is proposing fines for businesses and landlords that accommodate them and making English the city’s official language. The city council is expected to vote July 10 to approve the Illegal Immigration Relief Act Ordinance. The measure got initial approval Monday.Mayor Tom Mackline says this is something the majority of the community would support. Avon Park has about 88-hundred residents.

He says establishing English as the official language of the city would apply to all official city business, not to private businesses or conversations on the street.

Critics say such a law amounts to discrimination and question whether it can be enforced.

Avon Park is about 85 miles southeast of Tampa.

Avon Park Fl joins other communities nationwide that are at various stages of passing local laws to deal with illegal immigrants, those who illegally hire them, and those that provide housing to them. States like Georgia, and Colorado are also seeking to pass laws to address the problem.

Fear Of The Flood

Friday, June 16th, 2006

GUEST POST FOR: CAII - Coalition Against Illegal Immigration
CROSS POSTED FROM: CommonSenseAmerica

While Mexico praises its citizens for flooding across our border, it seems that we have worried our neighbors to the south with a little bit of law enforcement at our borders which may cause the tide to backwash.

From the Boston Globe:

Nearly 1 million people, many of them penniless, were turned back across the border last year, and analysts fear that tougher new U.S. border enforcement will inundate border towns with the desperate and the destitute.

Migrant shelter directors are scrambling for funds and considering hiring more staff to keep their doors open 24 hours a day in anticipation of a record number of migrants being repatriated.

“Everyone is getting ready because we’re worried there is going to be a mass deportation of people,” said Francisco Loureiro, who runs a migrant shelter in Nogales that houses up to 120 people a night. “We’re worried there’s going to be too many people to tend to, and we just don’t have the room for more.”

The article goes on to state:

“Repatriations are going to accelerate and the border zone is going to be hit the hardest with this, because the cities are going to be receiving people in search of resources and these towns don’t have them,” said Jorge Santibanez, director of the Tijuana-based Colegio de La Frontera Norte, a border research center.

“The government should be helping these migrant organizations and putting the infrastructure in place now,” he said.

That is probably the most sensible statement I’ve seen coming from south of the border in a long time. Mr. Santibanez recognizes that his own government should be doing something to help care for its citizens.

But, even more importantly, President Vicente Fox should be trying to boost his own economy so his citizens will be able to find jobs in their homeland instead of trying to send them north so he doesn’t have to assume responsibility for his nation and its people.

RNC - On My DO NOT CALL List!

Friday, June 16th, 2006

Alright, I get regular calls from the RNC on their “membership drives” (worse than KQED!). I also used to get calls from the RNC Small Business Council. Uh-huh, I was a member, but since they made four tries to get cash from me, with no result, they must have just stopped calling.

Now, it’s a different story for the RNC. Three times now I have let them have it, and I do apologize to the callers, it isn’t their fault. They are, after all, just the messenger. This time, in fact about 15 minutes ago, I joked around with the caller (she was a very nice woman) and made sure she knew I wasn’t mad at her. Then I said, “Hey, if they let you send them messages, tell them to wake up on more than just this amnesty thing! They’re not getting another dime from me until they wake up!”

She chuckled - I mean, who wouldn’t? The RNC is looking for more than just a dime from me! ;)

Is there no decency anymore in the RNC? I mean, I think Ronnie is turning in his grave right now (God rest his soul). Do these dolts not get that we really do know what they are up to? I love my party, and I love those that have the ethics and the guts to do what’s right - pun intended. But I gotta say, I’m so close to telling them to put me on the DO NOT CALL list.

Sheesh. Even if I were made of money, these guys still wouldn’t get a dime.

All Aboard the Illegal ID Gravy Train

GUEST POST FOR: CAII - Coalition Against Illegal Immigration
CROSS POSTED FROM: BLOGMEISTER USA

We all know there are people out there who are willing to provide fake documentation to illegal immigrants. That in and of itself is appalling. What’s more appalling, however, is when state employees decide to get in on the action:

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A fifth employee of the state Department of Motor Vehicles has been arrested on charges of selling driver’s licenses to illegal aliens and criminals.

Cynthia White, 42, of Bridgeport was charged Tuesday with two counts of violating the state Corrupt Organizations and Racketeering Act, three counts of bribe taking, two counts of conspiracy to commit second-degree forgery and one count of second-degree forgery.

Superior Court Judge Patrick Carroll ordered her held in lieu of $150,000 bond and continued the case to June 30.

Conrod Davy, 21, of Hartford was charged Tuesday with acting as a middleman in the transactions.

Police said White sold 110 driver’s licenses and 36 IDs for $2,000 each. A number of the sales were made through Davy at area strip bars, police said.

The arrests came as part of a wide-ranging investigation by state police into the illegal selling of Connecticut driver’s licenses. The probe has led police all over the country, where illegal aliens and felons have been picked up with Connecticut licenses in their pockets.

In addition to White, state police arrested four other Bridgeport DMV employees, Venita Bines, Tracy Lucas-Stevenson, Karin Birch and Jannette Rodriguez. Authorities say they sold more than 1,500 licenses and nearly 1,000 Connecticut identification cards from June 2000 to December 2004.

Police said on some days illegal aliens were lined up 10 deep at the women’s windows to buy driver’s licenses for between $1,000 and $2,000. All five were fired before their arrests.

Bines and Lucas-Stevenson have since pleaded guilty and are facing up to 10 years in prison. The other cases are pending.

A number of the sales were made at strip bars? Well, at least we know the illegals are enjoying their time in between day jobs.

It feels so good knowing that employees on the public’s dime have taxpayers’ best interests at heart. As a Connecticut resident, I feel truly blessed.

That Door Swings Both Ways

Monday, June 12th, 2006

GUEST POST FOR: CAII - Coalition Against Illegal Immigration
CROSS POSTED FROM: CommonSenseAmerica

That Door Swings Both Ways

Just as those who claim to see racism as the foundation of every disagreement in our nation are most often the worst offenders, the true hypocrites are usually the people that scream “hypocrisy” the loudest.

From KFMB, CA:

A new billboard in the South Bay is causing quite a stir, as the battle over immigration reform continues.

The billboard, located near Interstate 5 and less than a mile from the border, reads “Stop The Invasion” and “Secure Our Borders,” and the phone number of Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s San Diego office.

A similar billboard went up recently in Duarte in Los Angeles County. Other billboards have been put up in Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, Phoenix and West Virginia, Elliot said.

The interim president and general counsel of the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund says the move amounts to hypocrisy.

“This group that happens to put up the billboards purports to be a family-oriented, family values organization,” Trasvina told a Southern California television station. “Family reunification is a cornerstone of our immigration policies.”

Hmmm, it seems to me that “family reunification” can take place in either Mexico or the United States.

So please tell me, how it is hypocritical to try to send people home to their families or to stop them from leaving their families in the first place?

Wouldn’t it be more correct to say that it is actually the pro-illegal immigration advocates that are hypocritical by condoning those who have illegally entered our country and then demanding their entire family be allowed to come to this country under the guise of “family reunification”?

Let’s see, considering the very definition of hypocrisy is “feigned high principles”, I would say it is pretty easy to spot the hypocrites in this argument.

Rested and Back in the Saddle!

Monday, June 12th, 2006

We just got back from a short trip to “The Happiest Place on Earth”!

Now, whoever said that all day, every day, is “happy”? Have you stood in those lines on a hot summer day in Southern California? If you have, and you are a parent, then you know what it must be like to be an illegal alien waiting for a kai-yoh-tee (coyote) to take you across the border, or you make a run for it all on your own!

Here, lemme ’splain:

  • You cough up tons of cash just for the opportunity to ride the rides (nothing’s free)
  • You stand around in hot temperatures with little or no concept how long it’s gonna take (another hidden cost)
  • There are tons of people around you looking for the same fun and excitement (hundreds a day cross)
  • Once in a great while a fairy with pixie dust or a prince or princess (politicians) makes your day with free stuff
  • There is the “Fast Pass” (coyote) way to get to the USA - sometimes not worth the trouble
  • If the lines are short you can just jump the chain and end up right next to the last person in line (amnesty)
  • You’re jammed into the smallest spaces, subjected to noise, and left wanting (smuggled in a car or truck)
  • Food’s expensive and you hope for water in this heat (water stations and maps)

OK, so that’s a funny way of seeing this whole mini-vacation! But, while traipsing around SoCal, I really did have a few observations that sorta, stick. And, being a Native Californian, I’ve seen a serious trend emerging that no longer threatens this great state of California - we’re already down for the count and the ref is on number 8.

We drove the whole way. It’s a hot, and kinda boring, drive from the Bay Area to Anaheim. You can see all walks of life on your journey, and often times wonder if these folks are also on vacation. But, to be honest, I was interacting with folks that just did not adequately communicate in English. Here’s a list of everywhere I HAD to repeat myself or received the wrong thing:

  • Gas Stations
  • Fast Food (ok, McDonalds and Wendy’s is really not a joke)
  • Hotels and Motels (especially the motel)
  • Restaurants
  • Stores
  • Rides and Attractions

For some people this is the biggest vacation they have once a year, or maybe once every five years. Kids are wide-eyed and amazed at all the things going on around them - parents just wanna take a nap! ;) Sometimes you can be tolerant and look the other way when someone doesn’t understand you. And, if you are not constantly immersed in the communication mismatch saga, you’ll be nice and smile and repeat yourself until understood. I mean, you’re a good Christian or were raised with good manners, so it’s wrong to get frustrated - just try a little harder.

For those of us that live this day to day - you start to get short tempered. For those of us that have been beaten over the head with ESL and screwed up lesson plans, ya start to fume just a bit. And then, when you have someone close to you (or you yourself) needing the services of a local hospital, and illegals are in front - you get down right mad! Why is it that you are to be second-citizen to someone that has placed undue burden on your state?

And, folks, that is the crux of this whole issue. We all have become second-citizens because our government and its representatives, held hostage and threatened by the Drive By Media, haven’t the strength to take a stand. These spineless dolts continue to play Three Card Monty with us - and all we get is taken, time and again.

We need a change. Keep a close eye on your representatives. And, enjoy “The Happiest Place on Earth” if you haven’t already! I still had fun - as long as the ibuprofen kept coming! ;)

CAII is in Da House!

Wednesday, May 31st, 2006

Cross Posted from The Uncooperative Blogger

Sorry, I have not been blogging, but I have been on the phone all day with the House of Representative’s leadership. You will be happy to know it looks like they are holding strong against any path to citizenship for those here illegally, or temporary workers.

We discussed in depth what my opinions were on the subject and they were received well. I learned a bit about their problems with enfocement now, although I gave them a solution for that as well. hehe

After very lengthy conversations, I feel better about our chances of saving our country. Plan on losing the felony provision, because the Republicans don’t want it and tried to get rid of it previously but was blocked by the Democrats. Why you ask? Because it is a poison pill that the Dems want in it. The felony provision would make evey illegal tied up in the legal system and they want a fast track to deportation.

I made it crystal clear that no path to citizenship would be acceptable, and I was informed that is the message they are hearing, and there won’t be any path to citizenship. I informed them that “we the people” are paying attention and we will remember in November!

California IS slipping off into oblivion

Saturday, May 27th, 2006

I have serious doubts about conservatism when I wander around the blogosphere. I was hopping around and landed on the top story at California Conservative entitled, “Chill Out Dude”. Gary is writing about a memo circulated within the RNC by Matthew Dowd (did you get this memo? i didn’t either. guess we don’t rate, eh?) - and all the research supports the whimps in the RNC anyway, so, what’s new?

Welcome to Wachingtun DC, where’s the pork, eh?

Anyway, here is a comment I left on California Conservative’s website:

Huh? I’m a Republican and I never got this memo. Oh, you mean RNC to RNC memo. Well, that’s a vacuum chamber I’m not privy to share with our power brokers.

Is everyone who writes on this site FROM California? And, are we all watching this country go down the tubes, one southern border state at a time? This piece speaks to Conservatives? OK, maybe not me, since I’m not well read, learned, and a dumb ex-USAF tool jockey.

I still vote. And, I gotta tell ya, I’m gonna deviate this November. I’m tired. California politics is a complete joke. I am a NATIVE CALIFORNIAN, I served my country, and my country is serving me spoiled milk and dry cookies.

Bah.

The warning signs in this post are, “internal poll” and “79% of self-identified conservatives”. I’m sorry, but to be conservative one has to make the sacrifice of non-comprimise on a multitude of issues in front of us - one being this amnesty mess.

Compassionate Conservatives are busy looking around realizing that we are being compassionate to everyone but ourselves. Is there something wrong with those of us that want a better life for OUR OWN CHILDREN that arrived on this soil LEGALLY?!

The tripe that was voted on this week is a clear message to those of us that ARE conservative and are surrounded by a state’s worth of people possessing a serious lack of visionary control. Stop making concessions to a group of people that are TRULY looking for growing the government - and in the wrong direction.

Have you actually READ the text? If you did, why is this section in the bill:

Sec. 759 - Screening of municipal solid waste

And, don’t get me started on the funds that are gonna fly out the door based on this bill. READ the appropriations, set asides, and grant proposals. Sheesh, is anyone fiscally conservative anymore?

Oh, and S.2611 should never have passed. If it is so full of “numerous atrocities”, WHY DID THEY PASS IT?!

Roe-v-Wade was a compromise, too. Where are we today, I ask you all?

Eeeks, I’d say I came out of my box, eh? ;) And I’m sure many of you do not agree with me, and that’s OK. But one thing I have begun to realize is that no one cares anymore about themselves. I am not saying to be selfish is the goal. But, to truly look out for our children, and taking our current societal decay into account, are we really making a better world for them? Is their future sound? Are my two daughters going to be able to go out at night and be safe? Can my girls take a Senior Trip in High School and come home - not end up kidnapped and dead?

I ask you, is compromise really what you seek, or are you actually responding to the 20 plus years of brain washing the likes of Marlo Thomas, Phil Donahue, Merv Griffin, and Dave Letterman have heaped upon you?

I look inward before looking out. I have no skeletons in my closet so I speak from my own truth. I have no fear my daughters will be successful and prosperous in their lives. Yet, I have a serious amount of trepidation for our collective future.

I am self-centered, defined the right way: I am centered in my beliefs. I am sure you are too. But, can you please hear me out for just a moment? Why am I the wrong one all the time? Why, Gary and Matthew, do I have to look inward when so many in politics spend too much time looking outward?

I say, maybe they are wrong.

Drunk on Amnesty Juice: Hangover Remedy is a House Special

Friday, May 26th, 2006

Cross posted from CommonSenseAmerica

It’s not really a good idea to ignore the clear public will of the American voter but it seems that our Senate is out of control and under the influence of a foreign substance.

From The Washington Times

The Senate yesterday easily approved an immigration bill that allows 10 million illegal aliens to become citizens, doubles the flow of legal immigration each year and will cost U.S. taxpayers an estimated $54 billion over the next 10 years.

In the moments before the vote, Mr. Frist and about a dozen senators, from both parties, tearfully congratulated one another for all their hard work in producing the legislation.

After the vote, more than a dozen giddy lawmakers from both sides of the aisle gathered before television cameras to again commend one another.

Yes, like a group of drunken, rowdy teenagers, the Senate has decided they are no longer under the control of the American voter and we watched as they celebrated their bad behavior. Drunk with their perceived newfound freedom our Senators, like all children, have made some very immature and unwise decisions. And just like the teenager who decides to ignore the rules of his parents, the outcome is always self-destructive.

Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican, said yesterday he has been amazed by the Senate’s inability to do what voters clearly want.

“There seems to me to be a sense of surreality here, where people in the Senate just are not listening to what the American people are telling us,” he said. “We’ve tried, through the course of the amendments that have been offered that people standing here have offered, to highlight some of the problems that we have identified and which I believe are responsive to the concerns that we’ve heard from our constituents.”

Don’t worry, Mr. Cornyn. The American people are not only amazed, we are infuriated. And amnesty for these Senators will not be an option at the voting booths across America.

Americans now look to our House of Representatives to speak for us and remedy this ugly hangover.

Grassfire Secure Our Borders Petition

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

Alright everyone, time to make this “grassfire” into a full on FOREST FIRE! Get out there and get your friends to sign the petition. Every little bit helps!

GUEST POST FOR: CAII - Coalition Against Illegal Immigration
CROSS POSTED FROM: Grassfire Secure Our Borders Petition and The CAII

From: Grassfire
Date: Apr 11, 2006 5:47 PM
Subject: To George W. Bush, “Secure Our Borders.”

4/11/06

Dear friend,

I have just signed a national petition urging our elected officials to do everything in their power to Secure Our Borders and stop the flow of illegal aliens entering into our nation.

This is an issue of national security that demands your immediate attention. Please click below for more information:

http://www.grassfire.org/42/petition.asp?PID=10944466&NID=1

Please consider taking action with me.

Mrs. Susan Bonner

P.S. For more information, please read below.

Special Petition Alert from Grassfire.org Alliance
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +

Following 9/11, the U.S. committed to winning the war on terror. But here in the U.S., porous borders, increased crime and violence from record number of illegals crossing into the U.S. have citizens fearing for their safety, and demanding action in securing our borders.

How serious is the problem?

Estimates put the illegal population as high as 10-13 million, with more crossing each and every day–taxing our legal system, our hospitals, spiking crime rates and stealing critically needed benefits:

  • In 2004, 1.15 million illegals were apprehended. That is more than 3,100 every day, and a 24 percent increase over 2003.
  • Of the 1.15 million, 23,000 had criminal records. 84 were murder suspects, 37 were suspected kidnappers, 151 were wanted on sexual assault charges, 313 were robbery suspects, and nearly 2,700 were implicated on drug-related charges.
  • In 2004, Border Agents made 8,577 drug seizures and confiscated 1.4 million pounds of illegal narcotics with an estimated street value of $1.62 billion.

(Taken from a Washington Times Report).

Given these kinds of statistics, and the serious threat to our national security, it is time to put the “illegal” back into illegal immigration, and Secure Our Borders!

  • 225,000 Citizen Petitions Needed

Grassfire is urging citizens from across the nation to take immediate action with us by signing our petition to “Secure Our Borders”:

This issue poses a very real threat to every man, woman and child living in our nation, and demands attention. That’s why Grassfire wants to rally 225,000 citizen responses to present them to key lawmakers–demanding they make the issue of illegal immigration a NUMBER ONE PRIORITY this year.

Unless strong, decisive action is taken, the flow of illegals into our nation will only increase–further threatening our national security.

Thanks for taking action with us.

Grassfire.org Alliance

P.S. Recently, Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), and Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ) introduced comprehensive legislation targeting illegal immigration. Called The Comprehensive Enforcement and Immigration Reform Act of 2005 (S. 1438), it dramatically strengthens enforcement and reforms immigration laws.

Grassfire will be presenting hundreds of thousands of grassroots petitions supporting S. 1438. We are urging ALL citizens who want tighter border security to support this legislation by adding their names to our petition:

After signing this petition, please alert your friends, family, and co-workers, letting them know that Grassfire is standing up for secure borders and a secure nation!

Thanks for your help.

Kennedy Speaks, America Falters - Ugh

Monday, April 10th, 2006

Yep, it is amazing that Ted Kennedy has enough air for all of us, except Mary Jo Kopechne. If he had even used 1/10th of his breath then, she might be alive today. Instead, we now have someone who never saw a day in jail for his illegal act, pandering to a crowd that wants all sorts of amnesty for those that have also perpetrated an illegal act. CommonSenseAmerica has a great post of Teddy Boys speech - she tried to type everything that he said to the crowd. That takes some guts, ’cause I cannot even handle 3 seconds of that guys spew.

Major Hats off to CommonSenseAmerica for bringing us this stuff … here you go!

GUEST POST FOR: CAII - Coalition Against Illegal Immigration
CROSS POSTED FROM: CommonSenseAmerica

Ted Kennedy’s Speech Translated Into English
I am so angry right now that I am nearly in tears. I just finished watching Senator Ted Kennedy give a speech in front of the illegal immigrant rally at the National Mall in Washington, DC. I typed as fast as I could through moments of blind anger to get his entire speech for you and I’m copying it below. It is broken into paragraphs by each sentence because they had to have a translator translate each sentence to Spanish for the crowd. Yes, they had to translate for all of the assimilating illegal immigrants. Instead of adding their Spanish translations, I’m adding my own American citizen translations for you in parenthesis.

Kennedy gave a speech that can only be described as ‘The day he gave away our nation’ as he pandered for votes from the illegal Hispanic community. Comparing the plight of the illegal immigrant with the African Americans of the Civil Rights movements, Kennedy disgraced our nation with the following as he looked out over a sea of illegal immigrants and their activists yelling:

  • I see the future of America! (Well there you have it, the American citizen is officially out and illegal immigrants are in!)
  • We are a nation of immigrants! (Yes, we came here legally but, come on in!)
  • Today we stand together as brothers and sisters to shape America’s destiny! (Remember my name, Ted Kennedy, at the polls!)
  • Old Americans new Americans and future Americans! All join together for the common good! (Anarchy!)
  • Let me ask you some questions,
  • Are you ready??? (For amnesty?)
  • Do you have a good job??? (Will you vote for me????)
  • Do you love your family??? (I’m giving you amnesty!!!)
  • Do you love your community??? (Will you vote for me????)
  • Do you love America??? (I’m giving you amnesty!!!)
  • You are what this debate is about! (The American citizen doesn’t even factor into our thinking!)
  • It’s about good people who come to America to work, (Screw the Americans - we’re on your side)
  • To raise their families, (The American citizens don’t have families!)
  • To contribute to their communities and to reach the American dream! (Nightmare if you get your way, Ted!)
  • This debate goes to the heart of who we are as Americans! (Yes, we’re at a crossroad. Are we lawful or lawless?)
  • It will determine who can earn the privilege of becoming a citizen! (America is for sale to the highest bidder! Or voter!)
  • It will determine our future progress! (Or at least mine!)
  • Some in Congress want to turn America away from its true spirit! (True spirit of enforcing our law!)
  • They believe immigrants are criminals and they are wrong! (No, Mr. Buttmunch, they’re not wrong!)
  • They believe any of us that help immigrants, even our priests are criminals, too! (No one is above the law!)
  • They are wrong again! (No, think again!)
  • They say you should report to deport! (Ummm, once again, that’s the law!)
  • I say report to become American citizens! (Report to who? You?)
  • More than 4 decades ago near this place, Martin Luther King… (I lost the end of this sentence because my jaw hit the floor that he had the nerve to compare people that snuck into this country illegally with the slavery of African Americans of the past!)
  • Freedom did ring and Freedom can ring again! (Time for Americans to give Teddy a ring!)
  • It’s time for Americans to lift their voice now in pride for our immigrant past and our immigrant future! (How about lifting our voices to enforce our laws?)
  • We stand for the future! (The future of what?)
  • We stand for our families! (But not if they are American citizens and as long as I get something out of it!)
  • We stand for our faith! (Of aborting babies and standing for immorality and lawlessness!)
  • And I stand with you and you and you and you! (As long as you need their vote, huh Ted?)
  • Are you with me??? Are you with me??? Are you with me??? (You might want to check with voting Americans, Ted!)
  • John McCain and I have a plan. (Amnesty!)
  • It’s a strong plan, (No more laws!)
  • it’s a fair plan … (I lost the last part of this sentence because I was so angry)
  • Do you support us??? Do you support us??? Do you support us??? (I’m giving you amnesty … don’t forget!)
  • We will never give up! (Unless Americans vote your sorry butt out of office!)
  • We will never give in! (Neither will we, Mr. Kennedy. Neither will we.)
