I want to share a very important message that The Gunn Nutt asked me to cross post. We all really need to help everyone that is adversely affected by the Global War on Terror. In this case, your help goes directly to the soldiers at Walter Reed.

Olney Park Golf Event — October 7th 2006

Please, read on:

Hello Everyone,

My name is Sgt. Mark Kreisher and I am a patient at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), while I recover from injuries. I have met most of you either at a golf outing or at WRAMC. I am contacting all of you because at some point each of you has touched my life and helped my recover in a positive way.

I have been a patient at WRAMC for 9 months. One of the hardest things I have faced during my recovery (both physical and mental) was getting myself back out in public and trying to resume doing some of the things I did before my injuries. Thanks to some GREAT individuals, groups, and organizations I was offered the chance to learn and play the game of golf. Golf became a big part of my physical and mental therapy and I’m afraid without the
opportunities afforded to me I would still be sitting in the lonely confines of my room feeling sorry for myself. I (along with dozen of my friends) have been provided golf equipment at no charge, free lessons from a PGA instructor, and unlimited range time at no charge! The instructors do not care if we have lost an eye, two legs or an arm, they help us develop our golf games despite our “limitations”. They have donated their time to instruct us, and treat us as if we were paying customers.

I’m not going to pull any punches on this matter and I’m not the type of person that finds it easy to ask for help, but I DESPARATELY need HELP from each and every one of you, as well as your friends and colleagues! I have been asked to coordinate a fundraising event that is very near and dear to my heart! The Disabled American Veterans and Yellow Ribbon Fund, in conjunction with Olney Golf Park and local PGA instructors Jim Estes and Matt Kayson, have set up a fund dedicated to their goal to provide quality golf and recreational opportunities for military personnel injured while on active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The fund that has provided me and numerous other soldiers with these opportunities is running dangerously low, and it tears me up inside to think that it won’t be around to HELP my fellow SOLDIERS in the future, as it has helped me and my friends in the past year.

My HOPE is that through donation of items and cash, 100% of the money raised will go directly to helping soldiers.

I NEED EVERYTHING!! DOOR PRIZES, SILENT AUCTION ITEMS, CONTEST PRIZES and CASH DONATIONS.

If you can donate something, no matter how small, I can use it. I also need each of you to PLEASE pass this E-MAIL on to anyone you know that may be able to help. I have never done anything like this, so if any of you have any advice for me, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me, and please keep me in your prayers!

I can arrange for any companies that would like to hang a banner during the event to do so, and there is room for approximately 10 to 15 tents.

The Event will be held on October 7th, from 1pm-5pm, at Olney Golf Park, in Olney Maryland (www.olneygolfpark.com). There will be free golf clinics, free golf exhibitions, short game challenge, putting contest, and many other fun activities.

I am pleading for your help, failure is not an option for me on this project! I believe too much in this program to let it DIE! PLEASE let me know how YOU can HELP!

For Cash donations make checks payable to Disabled American Veterans. Items and donations can be sent to:

Olney Golf Park
Attn. Mark Kreisher
3414 Emory Church Rd.

Thanks to each of You!

Mark’s e-mail, in case you can make a direct connection that can help him out, is here:

Please help these folks out, in any way you can!

Thanks Gunn Nutt!

And a hearty HOOAH! to the readers of Stand-To!GET THE WORD OUT, PLEASE!

Yellow Cake with French Frosting

Thursday, September 21st, 2006

Have ya ever tasted yellow cake? You know, that nondescript cake mix in your supermarket … not exactly the favorite of all but some like it. I, however, speak of a different variety. The one I like most is the one Saddam likes as well.

That wonderful cake mix that WMDs are made from. :)

As I was reading the Senate Intelligence Committee Phase II Report, I came upon this teensy-weensy little paragraph offered up by our august body:

PHASE II REPORT — PDF pg 16, printed pg 13
“(U) On October 6, 2002, the CIA sent a fax to the White House providing information on why the DCI had advised that a reference to Iraq seeking uranium from Africa be removed from a speech the President intended to deliver in Cincinnati. CIA offered three points: “(1) The evidence is weak. One of the two mines cited by the source as the location of the uranium oxide is flooded. The other mine cited by the source is under the control of the French authorities. (2) The procurement is not particularly significant to Iraq’s nuclear ambitions because the Iraqis already have a large stock of uranium oxide in their inventory. And (3) we have shared points one and two with Congress, telling them that the Africa story is overblown and telling them this is one of the two issues where we differed with the British.”

OK, one mine is flooded, fine, maybe that’s true, maybe it’s not. And, glaringly obvious above is the fact that Saddam and the Iraqi’s “already have a large stock of uranium oxide in their inventory”. Hello!!!

But am I to believe that the FRENCH are pure as the wind driven snow?! C’mon people, how can we listen to the likes of the “Gang of 14″ (you’d see in my previous post that Snowe and Hagle are more RINOs than Republicans - or just intelligence IDIOTS!) and these wanna-be intelligence officers? Sheesh! Even in Senator Snowe’s release regarding this Phase II Report, she says the committee unanimously voted to release this report.

ARRRGH! And she released this on the fifth anniversary of September 11th!

But, alas, she is wrong - there was one that refused to release the report - the Honorable Senator Trent Lott, (R) Mississippi, was the lone wolf against this travesty of grandstanding and nihilism! (i love that last word - i’m gonna keep using it anywhere i can!) :) The proof is in the vote tally; she should pay attention next time before she uses a word, like, unanimously.

I’ve posted before, and this is only one look into the fistula that is the GWOT (Global War on Terror), how Iraq was pushing very hard to work closely with France. In this FMSO doc, it is blatant and clear just what was a-foot (take a step with me, here - pun intended):

Tariq Aziz to Saddam on France
TARIQ ‘AZIZ: After the General Assembly, when meeting with the French Prime Minister in private, I asked him, “how is your relation with Guinea Bissau?” He replied, “very good”. Thereafter, I told him, “I would like you to take care of that … that is to say, for them to take our side. Therefore, he promises to do just that. We are expecting the atmosphere in the Security Council to change relatively from last year, to our advantage, especially if we achieve greater progress with Ekeus’s file. The French, was reserved [firm] in regards to Ekeus or to the issue of Resolution 986, that is to say, he has a firm attitude. He told me, “when you go to Paris you can discuss the issues”. Thereafter, when I arrived in Paris, two days before the official meeting, I observed through my discussion with their Ambassador and [UNINTELLIGIBLE] which they are our close friends from the French Foreign Ministry, that the atmosphere in France is firm, that is to say, it is firm with us … I told my friend, which is the person who we communicate through, to setup a secret meeting with Jacques Chirac, so we finish … [INTERRUPTED] … They said that it could be difficult. I told them to talk to him and see, at any rate, if he could not see me, let us talk on the phone … By God, the next day he contacted me and said, I am coming to see you right now, ahhh … meaning, I am on my way right now. He brought a phone with him when he came. However, Sir, this happened because of the stipulations on us to …
SADDAM: [Yes]
TARIQ ‘AZIZ: … [INTERRUPTED] Your Excellency, I must tell you this to complete the picture, he brought the phone with him and I talked with the President [Jacques Chirac] At the beginning, he started by saying, I want to help you. You are … [INTERRUPTED] Truthfully, I told him in so many words ahhh … what these issues require and what we are now asking. I also told him that we have not met for eleven months; we need to meet so we can provide you with information about Ekeus. He [Ekeus] will not present his report unless you apply pressure against the American pressure, which is the past Italian pressure. I explained other points to him and honestly, without hesitation, he said, “I will give instructions to the Foreign Ministry now to be completely open with you and to exchange and analyze the information, we will help you. We will call to give instructions to our Ambassador in New York to work in complete coordination with you in regards to this specific issue”. When I met with the Prime Minister on the evening of the next day, after my meeting with the Foreign Minister, during the private interview, he said, … I said, I ahhh … I mean, this issue was … I mean, when I met with the Foreign Minister, he was excited, I mean, not bad … [Laughing] … Foreign Minister? This is what we need from you, to pressure Ekeus, scrutinize him, and ask him when he will be finished and to tell him that this is what Iraq has provided, also for your Ambassador in New York to do whatever he is able to do. He told me yes, especially at the time when the Foreign Relations are warm, and the leadership is cold. Now it is the opposite, the situation has been reversed, the leadership is warm, and the Foreign Relations are cold, however, he told me that this has been solved. Chirac met with me today and told me to take the procedures and tell the Minister and the Ambassador and assure them that this issue has been solved. Therefore, the man was sure of his promise over the phone and put the Prime Minister in charge of giving the instructions. The Foreign Minister was friendly and serious at the meeting. We know the Minister, we met him before, however, we reached a level of understanding and he followed the instructions. I mean, at the end, when I was leaving, he assured me of his support, encouraged me, and said, if you are able, even by phone, call me and inform me if anything should happen. I mean, he encourages quick communications. Therefore, if they did not have the will for teamwork and cooperation, I believe, after my visit to Paris, the French position has been restored.

Again, are we all to believe that France is not a part in all this? Did you also take the time to follow the Oil for Food mess?

C’mon, we didn’t create that stupid “Freedom Fries” term for nothing! :)

These RINOs are killing this country, and the Liberals are shoving them in the back, right off the cliff! Are you gonna wake up and tell them they are on the wrong planet? ‘Cause, we’re all pretty much alone out here, folks - Senate Republicans left a loooooong time ago.

How the Senate Jiggers with the Truth

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

I have spent considerable time reading the recently released Senate report, Postwar Findings about Iraq’s WMD

Programs and Links to Terrorism and How they Compare with Prewar

Assessments. This document was written to give us, the people, a clear and objective account. The investigation and oversight process has always had a core value: to get to the truth and provide that to the people. However, it has been my experience (and in this report, the Honorable Trent Lott’s as well) that it is not the truth but grandstanding and agenda fulfilling nihilism that has infected the Senate and House.
This is the first post regarding this report. Near the end of the document you’ll find a tally related to amendments to this document. The tally is to record what someone wanted to change, and how all the committee members voted on that action, desire, or recommendation. It is amazing that for what it’s worth, there are really only 6 Republicans on the Senate Intelligence Committee (Roberts, Hatch, DeWine, Bond, Lott, and Chambliss). In the following tables I provide the sponsor of the change (BY:), what the sponsor wanted to do (ACTION:), the action to be taken (ADDED:), the result of the vote overall (RESULT:), and finally the vote for each committee member (A/N). The last two columns are the party of the committee member, and whether or not the member’s vote crossed (C = *) the majority party vote.
You’ll see, we’ve got two rogue Republicans. It is also noteworthy that not one Democrat caved. Clearly, the Democrats understand what it means to “hold the line” - even if they’re whacked. (note: i’ll get this into a table later - it’s late!)

What is even more astounding is that only the Honorable Trent Lott, Senator, Mississippi, was against the entire report. I suspect the reason is because he has been privy to all the intelligence information since September 11th, 2001, and has found that this report is more an agenda paper than it is a true investigative report intended to support the oversight process.
Well, just to ensure you see what I mean, here are some “dissenting” remarks provided by four of the Republican Senators on the committee (Bond, Hatch, Lott, Chambliss):

“(U) We joined the Senate Intelligence Committee to conduct oversight, not to perform witch hunts; we serve on the Senate Intelligence Committee to make our Intelligence Community better, not to use it for partisan politics; we travel overseas to speak with our operators on the ground in order to gain insights in how to support them and make them successful. As such, we have endeavored to work with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to accommodate as many concerns as possible, and we believe it is time to move forward with the active intelligence oversight.”

Yeah, he said witch hunt!!! :)
The above comments came much later in the document (pg 147). Right out of the gate, I believe that Trent Lott was trying to communicate to those of us reading this report how this committee’s action was all a waste. Here is the first paragraph to get the ball rolling:

“(U) Any investigation that the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (Committee or SSCI) undertakes should ultimately improve the Intelligence Community (IC) and enhance our national security. Unlike independent commissions, panels and boards, the oversight committees of Congress have the power to effect change. The fifteen members of this Committee along with our counterparts in the House of Representatives and our Committee staffs comprise the only oversight bodies outside of the Executive Branch with the authority to execute a difficult, and much needed, intelligence transformation. This second report in a series of reports coming from a second round investigation into Iraq prewar intelligence comes at a critical juncture. Yet, rather than attempt to improve our efforts to combat terrorism and make our country safer, the results of this investigation were calculated to promote a partisan agenda. Thus, sadly, the Committee’s two-year-long, second investigation of Iraq pre-war intelligence has failed to heed a higher call.”

I know that that is long. But it speaks directly to how we are endangering ourselves as a nation by running around creating useless reports from the perspective of a Committee. Intelligence gathered in the field is by nature raw and without political impact. It does not care to what party you belong, it just says this guy did that to this guy and at the same time this happened over here to ignite an even more violent reaction … blah, blah, blah. It is our politicians that take the data and … retool it for their own benefit.
Check this out, my last paragraph, but this part is a good old fashioned throw down:

“(U) Immediately following September 11 as well as after our invasion of Iraq, a number of outstanding investigations were conducted that produced actionable findings and recommendations in seminal documents [a list is provided] …”
“… Yet, for the past two years, rather than pursue our oversight role to ensure that some of the key findings and recommendations of the reports and others were enacted, this Committee’s usefulness as an oversight body and as a key element in our national security apparatus has been consumed by a rear-view mirror investigation pursued for political ends. If this second round investigation had offered the Congress and the American people additional insights that the plethora of previous reports had overlooked, than we would have stood together in full support of it. The truth is, however, that it does not.”

So, we spend two years not uncovering one thing that makes this report stand out from the rest. Sure, Liberals are going to tell you that this report proves that we went to war on a lie - but it really doesn’t.
You just need to read it to know why the Liberals are wrong. Yet, sadly, no one is really reading this report they are just riffing on someone else’s half-baked analysis.
Until you truly take the time, do some work, you’ll remain someone else’s sock puppet.

NEVER Show the Palm of your hand!

Monday, September 11th, 2006

Members of the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing stand in a moment of silence, and I am sure some are in prayer, during a September 11th memorial service.

CLICK HERE for full size DVIDS photo by SSgt. Ian Carrier

And it is important to recognize, once again, that our brothers in arms are taking the fight directly to those that hate us. They still remember that day, September 11th, when decent lives, a place of commerce and trade, and the peace we enjoy here at home came crashing to the ground. All because of a hatred, and the twisting of a religion, that in the end seeks Israel’s and our complete annihilation. It will not stop until we make it stop.

As MSgt. William Kaufmann sings the National Anthem (say the words to yourself, before continuing please) you can see everyone in solemn salute.

CLICK HERE for full size DVIDS photo by SSgt. Ian Carrier

We all know that we may have dodged it in our days. You know, you slipped quickly into the car to miss taps, or end up somewhere on the flightline and not realize taps was being played. But, those days, in fact in my days, are far behind us now. No one, I wager, misses taps anymore!

And as these fine men from left to right, SSgt. Jason Ramirez, SrA. Daniel Utley, SSgt. Duane Nicol, and A1C Chris Dickerson, who are firefighters from the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, symbolically lay down firefighter gear, there is a palpable quiet.

CLICK HERE for full size DVIDS photo by SSgt. Ian Carrier

No one is fidgeting or trying to bail. No one has forgotten why we are there. At least, no one in the 386th AEW has forgotten. There are men and women serving on the ground, in the air, and on the seas because we have taken back, our country. We shall not leave her, and as these 4 men had one fall out to symbolize a missing man formation, that missing man being a fallen firefighter. We often see a missing man flyby, but rarely will you see this poignant a missing man formation!

And, as taps is played, the Honor Guard is here to bring it all home.

CLICK HERE for full size DVIDS photo by SSgt. Ryan Hansen

This formation is one that needs to be seen and heard. More Americans need to understand that this honor is one that signifies the greatest price, one that has no boundary. Yet we all know that for us all to be free here at home, and for us all to remain free, that price is one a very few have paid. I say a very few because in relation to those that live here, in freedom, and pay nothing, there are those willing to carry your weight. There is no finer service than that paid by those that rush into danger to save another. And, there is no finer honor than those same that will also pay with their lives for us to be free.

Three volleys, and if you’ve heard the sound, you know how your insides thump every time a volley is fired.

CLICK HERE for full size DVIDS photo by SSgt. Ian Carrier

Just a simple 21 rounds go off for those that have fallen. But that sound, that strength, and that conviction is what we all know keeps us free here at home. 21 rounds, people, just 21 rounds …

And, do you remember your training, as do I? Do you remember getting yelled at by your DI (drill instructor) for botching the whole thing? Did your DI scream at you at the top of their lungs? Do you remember what they told you? I bet these fine men and women still do!

CLICK HERE for full size DVIDS photo by SSgt. Ryan Hansen

Not one of these fine men and women would ever dream of showing their palm. There is code, there is honor, and there is bravery - no palms, ever! Refuse to succumb to those that do not know, or have forgotten, or cannot fathom, why the palm is never to be shown in salute.

I still grab my outseams during the National Anthem. I still stand ram-rod straight during her solemn pledge, our anthem. If I’m wearing a cover, I still salute …

WITHOUT EVER SHOWING MY PALM!!!

And I can give a friggin’ damn about the looks, so keep staring, ’cause we’re still out there!

God Bless and God Speed to all those before and after me. God Bless America. And God Bless the United States Military!

A hearty HOOAH to all of you coming from Stand-To! I’ve been very lucky, and graced, by the team at Stand-To! that have posted my articles! I am so glad that you are out there, fighting the fight, leading the teams, and takin’ it to ‘em! Come back whenever you want, and search for other stuff - I’ve got some US Army stuff here too, really! OK, so, I’m a total zoomie, but God Bless the US Military, and HOOAH!!!

It is September 11th, 2006

Monday, September 11th, 2006

I know that there are so many of you out there doing great work in remembering this day. Your support of all the families is what makes us, us. No fan-fare, just good feelings and support being spread across the blogosphere.

My post is less than so many of you out there have shared. My post is not one of the 2996 posts. My post is just me, and my memories, feelings, and conviction about that ill fated day.

My wife and I were going through her photos of New York, from a vacation she took before we were married. We’re gonna post some of her shots - as our own little memorial.

For now, my September 11th 2001 rememberance is actually a journey. Each step along this journey is one that in reality is marked every day I post in this blog. I cannot put into words how deep my conviction is when it comes to the defense of free people everywhere. Everything I am, and the first steps of my journey, began the day I put my right foot on the first step of that Greyhound Bus, on my way to processing in Fresno CA.

I posted about “Why We Fight” and my reasons for joining the US Air Force. I was still a Junior in High School when I enlisted in the Delayed Enlistment Program. I wasn’t ROTC or a Boy Scout, or only talking about what needed to be done to protect this great nation after Jimmy Carter made the US Military look like fools.

I stepped on that bus and signed my life over to the United States Air Force.

Commitment? Conviction? Love of Country? Patriotism?

What has happened after September 11th separates us all. There are those that lead, and those that are lead. There are those that fight, and those of flight. There are those of action, and those of opinion. There are those of conviction, and those of dereliction. There are those that are patriots, and those that purport.

To me it all boils down to just one thing, comprised of the following questions:

  • Are you willing to stand by and allow us all to be overrun?
  • Do you truly think that appeasement is a course of action that will quell those engaged in terrorism?
  • Do you honestly believe that the only way to defeat an enemy is to negotiate peace with someone sworn to destroy you?

If so, my September 11th is in no way close to yours.

Matchbook Memories

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Remember when you could get matchbooks of all kinds on base or post? There were some colorful, some olive drab (not like we didn’t have enough of that to wear), and some said what you were all about.

My Mom loved to collect matchbooks. A very good friend of the family, a US Marine Colonel, loved to collect all kinds of bottles - mostly ones holding alcohol. A trade started that lasted a life time.

I remember stories of what Colonel Benedict went through during WWII. I remember his HUGE bushy eyebrows! :) And I remember how kind he was and how much he and his wife cared about my Mom and Dad, and our whole family. Their conversations would go on for hours when they came over for dinner.

Colonel Benedict passed many years ago. I remember going with my Dad to their house in “The City” to help his wife get the old Impala running so she could sell it. And, we walked through his old study, and I saw all the bottles and trains he collected. I could still hear his booming voice and his soft grip when he’d shake my hand - he didn’t want to crush my hand ya know!

Here’s a little something from a box my Mom left me after she passed this year. So, in memory of Colonel Benedict, and my Mom, a little USMC Officers’ Training Corps matchbook:

I’ve got TONS of these. I’m gonna drop them on ya, every so often. If any of these “strike” a memory, or make you think of someone you know, drop me a note!

Lady In Blue - for Amy

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

Alright, in the comments of a previous post, Amy Proctor asked:

Can you post a photo of something you did on the pad? I’d be interested to see what it looks like. A mouse is impossible to use as a pen.

Now, everyone needs to cut this major techno-geek a little slack. It has been about 10 years since the last time I’ve done some Wacom drawing pad sketching. This was about 3 hours of work, and a few, “Hey, Dad, why is her hair just a few or so lines?” Yup, I told them it’s just the frame, I’ll fill it in soon.

So, here’s the final result:

Sheesh … that took a while … slower than the old days … but just as dang fun!

I’ve added a link to the Graphire4 in my sidebar. I am not sure what it costs in your local stores - have fun!

Illegal Immigration Blitz is August 23rd!

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

GUEST POST FOR: CAII - Coalition Against Illegal Immigration
CROSS POSTED FROM: Uncooperative Blogger

We are planning another illegal immigration blitz on August 23rd 2006. We will again fax, email and call our elected representatives, but this time, include your state representatives and media outlets. Write letters to the editors of all your local papers. Call your TV stations and local radio stations. If you are up to it call your favorite talk radio hosts. I have included some tools to help you accomplish this at the bottom of this post.

Here is a sample letter, copy and paste it, change it or write your own.

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing because I am deeply concerned about the serious and current illegal immigration problem which is hurting American Citizens for which you have been elected to protect.

I hope you read this letter in its entirety, but I know you are very busy, so I will get to the point.

Here is my “Comprehensive” Immigration Plan:

  • Secure the border by any means necessary. This includes the Military.
  • Stiff penalties for employers, which are actually enforced.
  • No taxpayer funded programs for illegals or their families. (including school for children of illegals and non-emergency medical care for any illegal)
  • No “Anchor Babies” (no automatic citizenship for children of illegals born in the US)
  • No path to Citizenship in any name or form for those here illegally.
  • No Guest worker program until the above measures are put in place and the need can be PROVEN
  • English only education and the official language of the USA

As you must know illegally entering into the USA is a crime and according to the law, these people are subject to arrest and deportation. When they ILLEGALLY enter the USA they fully understand they are breaking USA law and the risks involved. Every person that breaks any law has some reason why they did it, but, no excuse should ever warrant a REWARD for BREAKING U.S. LAW, such as “Amnesty” or a “Path to Citizenship”.

Do not ignore your American Citizens who have voted for you in the past. We are tired of paying billions of dollars every year to support Citizens of OTHER countries here ILLEGALLY. We are tired of having Americans fall victim of crimes including, but not limited to, tax evasion, ID Theft, Murder, Robbery, and other Felonies from those in this country ILLEGALLY. We are also tired of our elected officials not securing our borders and enforcing our laws against those here ILLEGALLY. It is your Constitutional responsibility to secure our borders.

We are tired of certain Governors and their State Capitols offering “Sanctuary”, housing, monetary benefits and driver’s licenses to Citizens of other countries here ILLEGALLY. We are tired of laws made by some Governors that make it illegal for OUR AMERICAN POLICE FORCE to properly enforce laws to protect American Citizens such as, Laws that prevent police from being able to investigate persons suspected of being in America ILLEGALLY.

I would also like to see an end to the abuse of the 14th Amendment, often referred to as the “Anchor Baby” loop hole. As you know this is used by illegal immigrants to anchor themselves here to their now U.S. citizen child. This should be looked at as the fruit of the poisonous tree. They broke the law to come here so any action that stems from that is illegal, including their children.

Its time for our Elected Politicians to prove to their VOTING CITIZENS if they are for the safety and economic well being of American Citizens or if they are going to pander to citizens of OTHER countries and help those illegally in the USA to reap rewards and benefits from the American Tax Payer.

We plan to vote for politicians who take a tough stand against illegal immigration and who are against ANY reward, ANY Amnesty, ANY Citizenship for those who ILLEGALLY entered the USA.

Do what you were elected to do represent your constituents and protect the USA. Do the right thing and in turn, we will vote for you.

Here is a copy of the law for reference:

Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code:

(a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of facts

(b) Improper time or place; civil penalties
Any alien who is apprehended while entering (or attempting to enter) the United States at a time or place other than as designated by immigration officers shall be subject to a civil penalty of -
(1) at least $50 and not more than $250 for each such entry (or attempted entry); or
(2) twice the amount specified in paragraph (1) in the case of an alien who has been previously subject to a civil penalty under this subsection.

Civil penalties under this subsection are in addition to, and not in lieu of, any criminal or other civil penalties that may be imposed.

(c) Marriage fraud
Any individual who knowingly enters into a marriage for the purpose of evading any provision of the immigration laws shall be imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or fined not more than $250,000, or both.

(d) Immigration-related entrepreneurship fraud Any individual who knowingly establishes a commercial enterprise for the purpose of evading any provision of the immigration laws shall be imprisoned for not more than 5 years, fined in accordance with title 18, or both.

Get Your Text Ads!

Monday, August 21st, 2006

I have been using a great service from the folks at Text Link Ads (TLA) for quite a few months. I have been generating revenue since the month of June! Not too shabby when you look at the amount of space used in my sidebar. Depending on the number of pages the ad displayed, the physical area of the sidebar you place the ad, and the number links available in that ad space, you can generate enough revenue to pay for your domain/server fees! Or, if you are using a free service (wordpress.com, blogger.com, typepad.com, squarespace.com, etc), you can have some pocket cash for cool tools, like the graphics pad I just bought! :)

When you have decided that you’d like to join the Text Link Ads group, you have two options: Affiliate Program or Publisher Program.

I actually have both types of accounts. In the Affiliate Program, you can provide links to the TLA site for your readers to see what the service is all about. Those click-throughs are tracked by the TLA Team, and if someone buys ads or is accepted as a Publisher based on the link they followed from your site, you score! The Publisher Program is where you offer some real estate on your blog for an advertiser. You can sell a block of space with 8 or 10 links. You can make that block available on say one page, or all your blog pages - up to you. The beauty is that once someone buys one of those links, you begin to generate monthly revenue!

Just look near the top of my blog, just below my American Flag block and the Shelby Steele book ad. That teensy little sliver generates revenue. I SWEAR!

Now, I’ve used Google Ad Sense. I’ve setup graphic sorts of links with the Google Ad Sense program. I’ve setup the text form of links before using the Google team’s tool. In fact, I’ve wasted space on my other blog for MOONS and Google’s given me, well, bupkiss! I’ve made a conscious decision to use ad vendors other than Google to generate revenue. And, well, Google’s not on my high list due to the current privacy issues they’ve stirred up in the news.

I intend to pay for my ISP fees for this blog, as well as some features I’d like to add in the near future, and the SIX OTHER DOMAINS I currently own. I’ve had one domain for over … hmmm … 10 years. None of those domains have made me squat, and neither has Google for that matter.

But the Text Link Ads Team has made me revenue THREE MONTHS IN A ROW! You just can’t beat that - especially when my account with TLA is, well, less than 6 months old!

And, a BIG THANK YOU goes out to the folks at Adalardo Directory who’ve been kind enough to buy that text link up there! You’re gonna stay on the top of my sidebar. I owe you all a big time! :)

So, people, give the TLA Team a try! I really love them, they are in the heartland (Cincinnati Ohio), and deserve some great Milblogger support!

New Toy and some New Friends!

Monday, August 21st, 2006

Ahhh, this weekend has been basically blasted into nothing. I’ve got a new toy, and here she is:

Now I just have to get back on that graphics bike and relearn some old tricks. If you’ve never used a drawing pad for graphics, oh my, it’s HIGHLY recommended!

Second, I’ve joined some good folks over at Reject the UN as a blogger on their team. I’ve dusted off a few old posts and shared them with the readers. I am working on some new ones, too.

Most importantly, TexasFred, a founder of Reject the UN is asking for you all to join the blogroll. The founders of the Reject the UN blog are trying to build this up to be similar to Stop the ACLU. Both are great projects, so get on our Reject the UN blogroll NOW.

Transmission ended. :)

(been doing some protocol programming too - ergo the TX_End)

By What Measure?

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

Without passion, we have no path. Without commitment, we have no honor. Without conviction, we have lost our way. Without faith, we have surrendered our soul. Without duty, we have forfeited our “six”. Without reverence, we have no passion.

So ask yourselves, without these, what have you? And, what will become of our great country, The United States of America?

[Thanks, Amy and Johnny, for the muse - the words just fell out.]

Ah, Finally, Technorati Gets my Pings!

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

Sweet … put in a complaint a few times. Seems that their update engine was not sweeping my blog. All the ping stuff is in the right place. I hadn’t been updated in over 120 days … I’ve been posting, they’ve been dropping …

Anyway, nice to see this:

Even though this means nothing at all, I kinda like that number.

Silver Bullet World Peace

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

After Greta from Hooah Wife left a comment here, I flew on over to her blog. It’s been a while since I graced her blog-step and felt, time to do some readin’! I found a little snippet there from Silke where she wraps The Daily Show and George Will’s latest column into a question, “Is the Bush administration right? Are we defeating terrorism by promoting democracy in Iraq?” Her information sources from which to draw a conclusion are continents apart in respect to their circles of knowledge and influence. And the overall thrust of her piece, what I came away with, is that the Bush Administration is looking through a hollow tube in respect to fighting terrorism and terrorists. George Will’s quip, as you’ll see, is the narrowing of that tube.

Now, bear with me, ’cause The Daily Show and George Will are extremes in the ways of logic and breadth of knowledge imparted to the consumer (either the viewer or reader, respectively).

Tackling the first “outlet” or source I wondered, is The Daily Show where everyone should be getting enlightening and informative content or instruction? The content there, even though from the outside it’s goal is humor, actually hides the tip of a spear plunged into the heart of truth. Jon Stewart hardly makes me think. In fact, that show hardly makes me chuckle anymore. In the day, with Craig Kilborn, the funny bone used to get a good tweak! Now, all this show does is confirm my realization that today people are far less interested in learning and more interested in feeding their own isms. You don’t have to work to get the news and you can laugh at the same time!

It’s hard work to learn something. Shows like The Daily Show are easy to watch and therefore spoon feed the consumer tainted facts and news items. And, since there is news in there, well, learning is great! Hmmm …

Now, George, poor George … you always raise the bar just too dang high! Or, maybe it’s not a bar but a pretzel? Once we’ve taken the time to look up all your “cool” words, you’ve tossed us into the weeds at 70 MPH. Sometimes we need a curling iron to straighten out a few of those cryptic sentences you always love to throw at us. Yet, I have to credit you on a sentence fragment that captures your view, albeit tainted by Inside The Beltway ooze. The quip, “F-16s are not useful tools against terrorism that issues from places such as Hamburg …”, really shows the fact that you think all George Bush is doing requires an F-16 and a Striker or two. So very myopic, Mr. Will, in my estimation. You leave the reader with this view you’ve offered as the only option George Bush and this administration have chosen. How very pedantic of you (to those of you in Rio Linda, pedantic is narrowly, stodgily, and often ostentatiously learned: UNIMAGINATIVE, PEDESTRIAN).

To be true to the entire effort, or the defeat of terrorism, does not require just one thing. There is no silver bullet (not the beer, doh!) to get to world peace. The Silver Bullet World Peace brigade, led by the Main Stream/Drive By Media, are so far from seeing the real solution as a whole concert of strategies, tactics, and tasks. They truly have deserted any clear research because it is too hard to stay in front of the bloggers and folks like Stratfor.com. And none of these elitists have ever experienced what it takes to defeat an enemy such as the likes we have today. They sadly grew up forgetting what the WWI and WWII generations faced. To actually have men like Neville Chamberlain selling you up the river without a spoon?! Appeasement and group hugs, as I have said before, are not going to stop the evil we face today.

While George Will’s sound bite, more appropriately a written quip, is cute and snags the reader, it falls disastrously short of carrying the real water to the fire.

George Will knows better; he is a man that studies history. It seems he has fallen into the same old same old world view lethargy. Inside The Beltway Pundits fail us all and have tainted the “gene pool of ideas”. The only place anyone is going to find the answer to the question Silke posed, is to study history. It’s a chore I know, but nothing of value ever comes without work. And armed with that knowledge, one must apply, with metered adjustments for today’s world, a strategy and action plan that is executed with strong conviction. To not learn from the past is to provide fertile soil for self destruction. Again, George Will has studied history, yet he is clouded by the tarnish found on all the media types revolving inside the beltway centrifuge.

I remember, as many of you ex-Military types do, we had to study world, US, and military campaign history. In basic training we had study hours devoted to these subjects. I loved to learn about how a certain campaign or individual battle was thought out, planned, and then executed. And at every level commitment and conviction were the keys to a resounding victory. As our brethren in the blogosphere are so quick to forget, or never learned as we did, a battle requires logistics that boggle the mind. We cannot win this war on terror without looking at the bigger picture, or more to the point a map to the future.

To many are stepping into the fray without the greatest weapon of all: historical context of war with an enemy hell bent on innocents being destroyed.

To those that say Democracy is not capable of defeating terrorism, riddle me this: when compared to every other despotic country or system, pick one that is more capable? And, no matter your answer, remember that tin horn dictators care less about the system as long as they are still in control and can still kill those that oppose them. Oh, and just remember, to Achmed-any-jihad, you are an infidel. Even though you side with him now, when he takes over you are also fated to die. You’re not safe either, Code Pinkos … you he likes least of all. He is using you as his tool to defeat us all.

Sad. Truly sad … Atlas doesn’t shrug, Atlas heaves with cries of agony at our myopia (a lack of foresight or discernment: a narrow view of something)!

Kleptocracy? More Like Slimeosity!

Friday, August 11th, 2006

A recent press release from the White House outlines President Bush’s efforts to stop kleptocracy. Here’s a short snippet from the release:

“For too long, the culture of corruption has undercut development and good governance and bred criminality and mistrust around the world. High-level corruption by senior government officials, or kleptocracy, is a grave and corrosive abuse of power and represents the most invidious type of public corruption. It threatens our national interest and violates our values. It impedes our efforts to promote freedom and democracy, end poverty, and combat international crime and terrorism. Kleptocracy is an obstacle to democratic progress, undermines faith in government institutions, and steals prosperity from the people. Promoting transparent, accountable governance is a critical component of our freedom agenda.”

Here are the three primary objectives set to “reduce the opportunities for kleptocracies to develop and to deny safe haven to corrupt officials, those who corrupt them, and the proceeds of corrupt activity”:

  • The Strategy Has As Its Foundation In The President’s Proclamation, Made In January 2004, To Generally Deny Entry Into The United States Of Persons Engaged In Or Benefiting From Corruption.
  • The Strategy Advances Many Of The Objectives In The National Security Strategy By Mobilizing The International Community To Confront Large-Scale Corruption By High-Level Foreign Public Officials And Target The Fruits Of Their Ill-Gotten Gains.
  • The Strategy Reaffirms The President’s Commitment To Ensure That Integrity And Transparency Triumph Over Corruption And Lawlessness Around The World, Expand The Circle Of Prosperity, And Extend America’s Transformational Democratic Values To All Free And Open Societies.

This is an excellent start, yet it is more broad and worldwide in scope. It would be nice if here at home we could start the process and become willing examples. Can you say Louisiana and Jefferson’ freezer or Bill Clinton and his library?

I was chuckling today when I received the most recent NewsMax article about Babs Streisand giving Slick Willy’s global warming charity a MILLION BUCKS! It amazes me that the media and the left are trying to use Abramhoff as a Republican-only scandal when we are privy to even tastier morsels. It’s not just the global warming craze but even the Clinton Library’s millions.

Remember these great articles:

NY Sun, Nov 22nd, 2004 - Saudis, Arabs Funneled Millions to President Clinton’s Library
LGF, Nov 22nd, 2004 - Saudis Give Millions to Clinton Library
Townhall, Mar 30th, 2002 - Saudi $ for Clinton
NewsMax, Oct 8th, 2005 - Saudis Funded Clinton After Nixing OBL Offer

Then, there’s all those last minute photo-ops between Clinton and the ALERA (Arab League of Extraordinarily Rich Anti-Semites) as Bill Clinton was trying to create his world policy legacy.

It was so disgusting to see Billy-Boy Clinton kissing-arse and basically saying, “Yass-ser, Arafat.” No wonder the Israelis have never trusted us. Recent acts (within the last 15 years) have proven that the US will throw money at the problem and take a photo-op as their badge of honor.

To think that we were continuously submitted to the Clinton Administration acts of stupidity as great feats in world diplomacy. Astounding. Connecting the dots we continue to see how 8 years of Clinton did nothing to stem the terrorism tide. His mismanagement provided tons of cash for his library, continued the status quo in the Middle East, and feeds an even deeper moral bankruptcy rivaling history’s greatest. And one primary benefactor of the world’s disdain and hate has been Israel.

We could have done better - we are now.

Our own kleptocracy has begat such a mess within our own borders. It seems to me that we need to go back to an old, tried and true, process for clean politics. If we reinstituted the stipend-based pay structure for our representatives I think we’d be making a good start. I remember some time ago Washington bemoaning the fact that without good pay we get bad representation. We continue to increase their pay and we still get bad management.

More to come …

Sullying those in the White Hats

Friday, August 11th, 2006

I know that this is becoming too much of a habit, but being away from the blog recently has been family related. Our youngest went through a required surgery - not too much fun for a little one. She’s getting better, so, today there are a few moments to post some comments regarding what I’ve been reading in the news and blogosphere lately.

In GrassFire.org’s latest project, there is a petition to sign that is VERY important. The border patrol has been our last bastion against wholesale stupidity regarding our porous southern border. Two border patrol agents are being prosecuted for capturing and attempting to arrest a drug smuggler from Mexico. Um, what a minute, we let the bad guy go free and we’re gonna put the good guys in jail?! Here’s Steve Elliott’s latest e-mail comments:

“Even though I’m familiar with this story, it still makes me angry that our nation seems more concerned with illegal aliens than with their own citizens–especially men of law who are trying to protect our borders!

It is absolutely insane that we would allow an illegal drug smuggler to literally walk away from his transgressions for his testimony against these two Border Agents. And to think this same illegal alien is now in the process of suing our government for millions because he believes his civil rights were violated?

What about the rights of us citizens? What about the rights of those he was going to peddle his drugs to?”

Can’t ya hear the awe and amazement, let alone digust, in his comments? I’ve read up on this story and there are numerous articles and posts regarding this situation. No matter your proclivity, this is completely unacceptable.

Head on over to sign the petition at GrassFire.org and keep the heat on!

This Seat Occupied

Tuesday, August 1st, 2006

I’ve been posting off and on lately, as you can tell. I have been consumed by a few things - all trivial in some respects.

I have been reading a ton of the FMSO docs, as I said before. It takes time but I am truly developing an amazing picture of that which we are all fighting in the GWOT. Amazing stuff … in an awful way I can assure you.

I have also been taking time out to do some programming. I like to write code off and on. Two projects are consuming all the spare moments I can find: a small application to help engineering groups and a three column layout for this blog. If you’ve ever tried to set a three column web page that floats in the middle of the screen and collapses only after an ~800 pixel boundary has been crossed, then you can understand my pain. :) Here’s a snapshot for those of you that like this sort of thing:

[Content is fake for layout/usability purposes]

It is also Summer you crazy blogosphere friends of mine! GET OUT IN THE SUN!!!

Well, and work has been very busy. Ergo, we get blog posts like this one I am typing right now.

I think I need another vacation - FROM ME! :)

The End and The Means

Tuesday, August 1st, 2006

I have one question: are many of you as vehemently in favor of protecting the right to kill the unborn as you are in violent disfavor of the fight we are in against terrorists today? Both are, to many of us, means to a short term end. The myopia to which you are a victim is actually perpetuating an end you do not, and cannot, foresee. OK, maybe you just refuse to see it ’cause you really want what you want - the “ends”.

If your answer is “yes” to this question, well, you are growing into more of the cause then you will ever be the cure. And, your “yes” confirms the impetus to the hate you spew at those that know the futility of your mission - you feel left behind and you are stuck in November of 2000. Jealousy is a deep wound that I hope you can some day heal. Yet, this scab will not heal if ya don’t stop pickin’ at it! Didn’t you EVER listen to your Mom?

Both of these, and so many of your means, result in the tragedy, travesty and the spiritual decay of humanity. That decay is a direct result of the destruction of every shred of morals in our society and your means getting to your ends. This all started in Europe hundreds of years ago. Today, our media elites and the willing sheep that allow this to continue ’cause it’s “cool” are harbingers of doom.

Here is what goes for art these days. I cannot even put the image up on my site. Michelle has a fine copy and you can hop on over if you so desire. I just cannot put into words how this photographer’s work is devoid of love and God. Her end, and the abhorrent means she employs, are right there on her site. She makes no point of hiding her hate for George W. Bush and all that support him.

And to what end is it, of all these means, that truly is causing the destruction of our society?

Is all this disregard for the unborn, disillusionment in ideals, disinformation regarding the Global War on Terror, hate for George W. Bush, and the continuous development of all this baseless art the means Liberals want as their legacy? The end, or the destruction of George W. Bush as payback for Clinton really the ends to which they strive, live, and die?

Wow. Bill Clinton was really that great of a president? He wasn’t really that great of a husband …

Israel, The UN, Code Pink, and Terrorists

Monday, July 31st, 2006

I was fuming up a storm over at Amy’s blog this evening. I haven’t had time to write here, but I got rolling to the point I realized I needed to post my rant here. It is a blog after all … ;)

The UN is the hotbed for despots and tin horn scum. The UN has never solved anything, and never will for that matter. Do you want some evidence? It would fill anyone’s blog to the point of collapse!

The UN does not care for Israel one iota. Israel is the plaything of the world and she has been smote more than enough times. It is time to bring all forces to bear against the evil we all know to be in front of us all.

I’ve got news for you, the Soviet Union of old is nothing compared to the “new breed”. At least the USSR had belonged to a code that we could reason with - albeit it was difficult but doable.

9/11 is the catalyst and we have been on this path since that day. Awakeing the sleeping giant begets one big can of whoop-ass! Well, unless you’re Bill Clinton or John F. Kerry! Sheesh, just think if Jimmy “Peanut” Carter was in office! What a mess … appeasers all.

To believe that a “group hug” (appeasement) with a terrorist is the solution, I say go hug! They’ll play nice with you until we are all dead. The we are those who love this country and freedom. Once we are all dead, you are next you twit!

You think that they give a wit about you at all? You’re a friggin’ tool! And, you’re a tool that is not much use to them except to divide just enough whereby the evil can begin to seep deep into the wound you’ve started.

Keep picking the scab you “Code Pink” idiots. You know not what evil you are allowing into the system! At least Neville Chamberlain could admit that his stance was wrong - we’ll get nothing like that from all these dolts ’cause it’s all about the destruction of George W. Bush as payback for “Hot Pants” Clinton and “Global Shmarming” Gore.

Those that still cling to the dream that the UN is great need to watch the movie “Batman:The Movie” from 1966. To see those nuts around the table just looks, perfect! ;)

How many of you think that placing the control of US forces under the UN’s command is a good thing? We have quite a few examples and all were complete failures.

I weep for our future!

Megalomaniac is NOT a kit from Lego!

Sunday, July 23rd, 2006

The fact that Saddam was capable of using chemical weapons against his own people is proof he is a megalomaniac. Saddam was also the type of leader that had no qualms executing anyone that took an opposing position to his. One final facet giving a VVS clarity to this gem of a megalomaniac is, well, read on:

He said MUSTACHE HAIR?!
FMSO Document ISGP-2003-00014647-HT.pdf

So you read, from this FMSO document, that Saddam’s idea was to enshrine hairs from his mustache, right? And, this letter is to be written on solid gold! (without the dancers - you’d have to have lived in the ’80s, people)

Oh, right, you didn’t know how his “cookie crumb duster” was to be kept safe from the elements and thieves so read on:

Lead, Mustache Hairs, and Gold - OH MY!
FMSO Document ISGP-2003-00014647-HT.pdf

Lead, glass, gold, and mustache hairs. Uh-huh, megalomaniac.

I wonder if Kim Jong Il has some spiky locks from the top of his head in one of his “Paper Dong II” missiles … ???
